Safety – Sydney Road Street Party 

The Sydney Road Street Party is one of the major street parties in Australia, and this year on a beautiful sunny Sunday attracted a crowd of 50,000. 

This beloved annual community event sees iconic Sydney Road Brunswick (from Brunswick Road to Victoria Street) closed to vehicles for one full day, to be taken over by tens of thousands of people over the course of the day to enjoy a free family-friendly outing.

With over 150 market stalls, pop-up stages in most side streets, street performances, roving talent and of course many of your favourite Brunswick businesses – it’s the place to be for most of the northern suburbs. 

An event for festival lovers and families alike, the Street Party is a celebration of creativity, inclusion and importantly – a celebration of the musical beats that flow through Brunswick and the community more broadly.

Bo Kitty has worked in various capacities over the years but 2023 and 2024 her role has been the Safety Officer onsite.
