This iconic event has run for 52 years and is currently held in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. The annual National Folk Festival is a lively family affair with many generations coming together for five days of music, food, activities and celebration.
The event is traditionally to celebrate folk music but it has become so much more with classes in almost every kind of dance, plenty of activities and this year brought 27 international acts from places as far as Serbia and Belgium in addition to dozens of Australian performers.
With over 1200 volunteers, 20 stages and a few thousand campers this event is much loved by all who attend.
Bo was Safety Officer in 2018 and is looking forward to joining the team next year.
